DANIELA WALTEROS
Daniela has participated in structuring, financing, and contracting infrastructure projects in the airport, road, and social sectors and negotiating EPC and credit contracts under Colombian and New York law. He has experience in national and international infrastructure financing, infrastructure projects, public law, and national and international arbitration.
Before joining Rincón Castro Abogados, he worked in finance at one of the largest Spanish firms worldwide and in asset finance at one of the most important firms in Colombia. He also worked at the Universidad de los Andes, structuring academic research projects at that university and the most prestigious universities in the United States.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
– Advised the financiers of the concessionaire Puerto Bahía Colombia de Urabá S.A. shareholders in the international financing -awarded as “Port Financing of the Year” by LatinFinance- for the construction and operation of the Puerto Antioquia project.
– Advised international financiers on refinancing the debt of the shareholders of the concession holders Concesionaria Vial del Oriente S.A.S. and Concesionaria Vial del Pacífico S.A.S.
– Advises the concessionaire ALO Sur S.A.S. in executing a private initiative PPP project under a 5G concession contract for the financing, studies, designs, construction, operation, maintenance, social, property, and environmental management of the Longitudinal de Occidente Avenue Project—Southern Section.
– Advises Autopista Magdalena Medio S.A.S. concessionaire. in the execution of the PPP concession contract for the financing, studies, designs, construction, operation, maintenance, social, property, and environmental management of the Puerto Salgar-Barrancabermeja project.
– Advises the concessionaire Autopista Río Grande S.A.S. in executing the PPP concession contract for the financing, studies, designs, construction, operation, maintenance, social, property, and environmental management of the Sabana de Torres-Curumani project.
– Advised the construction consortium in executing a public works contract for the construction of the trunk lines of the Transmilenio mass transportation system in the municipality of Soacha, Cundinamarca.
– Advised the creditors of Colombia’s largest airline in restructuring its debt under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
– Represents one of the concessionaire’s subcontractors for Colombia’s most important railway projects in resolving contractual disputes.
– Represents the concessionaire of one of Colombia’s most important railroad projects in resolving contractual disputes with the project’s granting entity.
– Advised the branch office of one of the essential Spanish construction companies in the structuring and negotiation of an EPC contract with the buyer of the concessionaire of a 4G highway project.
