Jose David focuses his practice on domestic and international dispute resolution and arbitration. His experience is focused on advising and representing clients in disputes related to the infrastructure and construction sectors involving state-owned entities. Jose David has experience in commercial dispute resolution in the pharmaceutical, logistics, and transportation industries and representing insurers and reinsurers in the energy sector.

Before joining Rincón Castro Abogados, Jose David worked in a global Ibero-American firm, where he was an associate in the arbitration area and advised clients on contract management.

– Represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in an arbitration for the termination of a distribution contract in an ad hoc arbitration.

– Represented a London reinsurer and a Central American insurer in the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms of a claim arising from the occurrence of an incident in the construction of a hydroelectric power plant.

– Represented a group of Central American banks in an arbitration related to implementing check verification software initiated by a technology company.

– Represented a Central American logistics company in a claim against a multinational brewing company for breach of an inventory management contract.

– Represents a highway concessionaire in an international arbitration against the National Infrastructure Agency under the International Centre for Dispute Resolution rules.

– Represents a Colombian concessionaire in an international arbitration under the International Chamber of Commerce rules against a Spanish construction company.

– Represents an autonomous patrimony attached to a Colombian public entity in an international arbitration against a multinational construction company under the rules of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.

– Advised a state-owned company in the hydrocarbon sector on the definition and implementation of a legal strategy on human rights issues and

International humanitarian law with a perspective of international law and constitutional law.
